Casa Erolux
A new perspective on Scandinavian design
Casa Erolux draws inspiration from the rich Scandinavian design tradition, renowned for its timeless aesthetics, functionality, craftsmanship and authentic expression. By expanding on this heritage with innovative materials, advanced techniques and bold, creative thinking, we aim to offer new insights into Scandinavian design and enhance your home experience.
Interestingly, our name, ‘Casa Erolux,’ reflects this commitment, as it is derived from the idea of comfort and new perspectives. We carefully select leading contemporary designers who align with our philosophy and combine their creativity with the dedicated Cosy Living team. Our designs are characterised by their innovative approach – they bring new perspectives to objects that are appreciated worldwide and embody the essence of modern Scandinavian design.

It begins with lasting strength
Rooted in our Scandinavian heritage, we strive to create designs with a unique and recognisable character. These creations reflect innovative thinking, are practical and are made from forward-thinking materials. The result is a lasting aesthetic that transcends passing trends. These designs are made to last, and you will want to keep them and pass them on for generations.
Maintaining our high quality standards requires continuous testing, which is at the heart of our development process. To ensure strength and stability, our products are certified by independent institutes that are recognised as authorities in the industry. The European Standard (EN) measures and certifies the strength, durability and safety of our products for both residential and commercial use. In addition, we test selected pieces of furniture according to the demanding North American ANSI/BIFMA standards. These industry certifications give us the confidence that our designs are safe and durable.

A deep dive into our most used materials
We are always on the lookout for new ideas and work with industry experts to discover innovative techniques and materials. The search for the perfect materials is an important part of our design process, where every element counts, from the main components such as wood and textiles to the packaging that holds everything together. Beyond visual aesthetics, we value the feel, durability and sustainability of each material, taking into account its origin and entire life cycle.
The concept of circularity is at the heart of our philosophy. By ensuring that materials are reused in new products and reused by others, we help reduce pollution in our oceans and the environment. This commitment led us to introduce products made from recycled materials years ago, with the aim of minimising waste, conserving natural resources and reducing greenhouse gas emissions – thereby contributing to a healthier circular economy.

The people behind our vision
The craftsmen and artisans who form the heart of our company bring our concepts to life and transform your design dreams into tangible pieces. We are delighted to introduce you to the talented people who bring our ideas to life. Discover who they are, where they work and how their work helps to reduce our environmental impact. From Italy to Poland, from Denmark to our headquarters in Germany, our furniture is designed across Europe.
Nearly 90% of our designs, which account for the majority of our sales, are created by skilled European craftsmen. This approach ensures exceptional quality, prevents overproduction and reduces the environmental impact of transporting goods over long distances.
Design New perspectives in Scandinavian design, blending tradition with innovation to transform spaces into experiences.
Casa Erolux was born from a shared vision of Marie Schäfer and Jonas Müller, two passionate designers with roots in Scandinavian tradition. Founded in Berlin, Germany, Gemütlich leben was created with a clear mission: to make life at home more enjoyable with timeless design.
With their background in industrial design and a deep appreciation for the Scandinavian heritage of functionality and simplicity, Marie and Jonas wanted to create products that not only serve a purpose but also appeal to a deeper emotional level.
The name ‘Casa Erolux reflects this vision. Derived from the word ‘Casa Erolux’, it symbolises the company's commitment to pushing boundaries and reshaping the future of design. The founders believed that by integrating modern techniques and forward-thinking approaches with classic, comfortable principles, they could offer a new perspective on home décor – something that is more than just functional objects, but pieces that tell stories, evoke emotions and shape spaces.

Design is more than what we see; it is what we feel. The right decoration not only fills a room, it shapes the atmosphere and creates a sense of harmony that stays with us long after we have left the room.
